Cannibal vampire AU
Unlike most vampires, Yūrei’s path to becoming one was calculated. The idea of shedding human weaknesses and becoming immortal fascinated him from the moment he learned of their existence. With a false promise of eternal love, Yūrei charmed a vampire into turning him, despite their initial refusal. Eventually, they gave in. But Yūrei didn’t stick around to play the part of the devoted lover.
The Orion harboured a centuries old feud with his kind. They sought to reshape the dynamic between humans and vampires by running daily experiments on them, comparable to specialised torture methods. Their plans for Yūrei were simple: switch his need for human blood with a thirst for vampire blood, turning him into their weapon, designed to hunt his own kind, breaking him down and rebuilding him as their perfect predator. So, for seven years, Yūrei was kept in their custody, subjected to relentless experiments that pushed his body and mind to the brink. They tested his limits in every conceivable way, training him to be faster, stronger, and more dangerous than any vampire he might face.Escaping was far from easy, and it cost many lives. It took months of planning, waiting for the perfect moment. Having spent so long pretending to comply, slowly earning their trust, he found a way out during one of their outdoor training sessions.
Years have passed, and Yūrei now owns a chain of art galleries, collectively branded as Ozone. The art itself spans a spectrum from historical masterpieces to avant-garde pieces, creating an environment that attracts art connoisseurs, aristocrats, and the curious wealthy. However, the true exclusivity of Ozone lies in its VIP lounges, which have become popular access points to supernatural beings, open only to those who donate a sample of their blood.Currently based in Seoul, Yūrei’s nights are spent alternating between mingling with high-profile guests at Ozone, overseeing auctions, and indulging in private meetings with patrons. His life, much like his galleries, is curated to perfection—at least on the surface.
